Known to be people who loves singing, Filipinos do shows much gratitude on spending time and effort composing songs from time to time. Visayan folk songs to be specific are songs that originates from the locals of Visayas and Mindanao. ' Dandansoy ' is a folk song that briefly describes the serenity of the locals product which is the ' tuba'. Tuba is a sweet, fresh or mildly fermented sap taken from tapping the young expanded flowers of the coconut.

Other songs such as Pelimon, which indicates the life status of a fisherman gives us a contrary about the waves of adventure in a fisherman's daily routine. Usahay and Matud Nila, are songs that gives opinion to about the life and perception of the individuals that relates to the song.

To put things in a summary, main objective of those visayan folk songs is to give credit to those who loves and greatly admires music in their everyday living. As of now we could only hear visayan folk songs during Sunday's when we put our radio on. Unless if we had records of those on our phones or on dvd's.
